A portion of water fundamental at the easterly face of Main Street among Elliot and High Street will be replaced by Zaluzny Excavation of Vernon for $178,143. Brattleboro Public Works Director Steve Barrett reviewed the single bid obtained for the undertaking and “tested the pricing,” keeping with an email from Town Manager Peter Elwell. The Select Board is predicted to ratify the settlement at its next assembly. Construction will start on Monday. The task is anticipated to be finished no later than May 17 so as not to interfere with the Strolling of the Heifers parade and sports occurring in early June. The Brattleboro Department of Public Works requested human beings be warned when riding inside the location throughout production.
