Searing finished 2nd in the Wissota Midwest Modifieds A-Main, Mitch Weiss of Scandia beat him to the checkered flag. Less than an hour later, Searing finished beforehand of the complete Wissota Super Stocks field to earn the feature win and a journey to Victory Lane. Searing beat Ryan Wiome of Center City, Minn., to the finish line, with 2018 music runner-up Neil Eckhart putting 1/3 and final 12 months’ music champion Jeff Brauer in fourth.
Winona’s Josh Angst gained a USRA Modifieds heat race, then captured an A-Main that featured a skilled and challenging subject of competitors. Rochester’s Dustin Sorensen – an excessive college senior who also won his warmth race – positioned second, while veteran Brad Waits completed third. Former multi-time track champion Jason Cummins and Winona’s Jake Timm rounded out the top five.
Kory Adams of Stacyville, Iowa, found his manner to the end line first in both Saturday races. Adams captured his warmth race inside the Wissota Street Stocks division, then beat Justin Vogel and Nick Schwebach to the checkers inside the function race.
In the USRA B-Modifieds department, Jim Chisholm of Osage, Iowa, completed the nighttime inside the same place he completed the ultimate season – on a pinnacle. The protecting track co-champ in the division received Saturday’s function in an area of 33 motors. Parker Hale of Grand Meadow finished 2d.
Another night of factors races is set for this coming Saturday, with the North Star Nationals—proposing the Lucas Oil Late Model Series—scheduled for May 18. This week’s points races are scheduled for a 6 p.m. Start, with pit gates starting at three p.m. and the grandstand opening at four p.m. Hot laps will start at five:30 p.m.
