Oxford University Press has acquired four books in a martial arts-inspired younger fiction series and six books about Kitty, a lady with cat-like superpowers. Senior commissioning editor Helen Mortimer obtained world rights to Warrior Monkeys by début creator Mary Stevens and illustrator Steve Brown from The Bright Agency. The series features the courageous monkey duo Suki and Bekko, who are determined to become authentic Warrior Monkeys. Stevens, a karate and jiu-jitsu trainer, runs a charity encouraging ladies in developing international locations to use martial arts to enhance self-assurance.
